About Us

Glitter to Gore

Glitter to Gore was founded by two very passionate individuals when it comes to make-up and Halloween back in 2005. We both love specialty make-up so much we decided to share it with others and Glitter to Gore was formed.

“We're a bit different – we don’t subscribe to the ordinary and mundane aspects of a “normal” existence. Instead, we approach our lives by embracing the ability to express ourselves through body art and fx make-up. If there's a product you need and you can’t find it, let us know and we'll do our best to provide it for you – or point you in the right direction to find it.”

We pride ourselves in our values and practicing good business to maintain the highest respect from our customers. Our organizational values include: Excellence, Honesty and Quality. We believe in selling our customers the best product for their project and their budget, while educating them on the proper use and application.

We strive to understand what our customers need and also what our customers’ skill levels are at the time of purchase. Selling a customer a product above and beyond their skill level will keep them from purchasing from us in the future.

Christy Grace - Artist

Christy Grace has an artistic background in fine art, graphic design, and cake decoration. She has been painting faces since 2006 and started getting into body art in 2012, around the time she first met Dawn and Michelle. Christy loves to learn and build upon her skills so she jumped at the opportunity to take classes when Glitter to Gore organized day courses and conventions.

Christy won the RAW Madison Visual Artist of the Year Award in 2012 and went into full-time art and face and body art at the end of 2013 after a solo art show. Her visual art can be seen in Madison and Mt. Horeb galleries and her face and body art shows up at birthday parties, picnics, events, photo shoots, and more.

Alyssa Spangler - Artist

Alyssa lives a little on the dark side. She loves Halloween and enjoys anything that has to do with zombies, vampires, special fx makeup, body painting, alt, fetish, goth and horror.  By day, you can find her working as a hairstylist at Rock N Glam Salon in Madison, WI. At night, you might see her modeling, or out on the town catching live music, DJs, or supporting other local artists. She loves working for Glitter to Gore doing special fx makeup or as a model  for one Dawn's full body paintings.  Once Halloween season finally gets here, she also acts in addition to doing special fx makeup at Screamin' Acres haunted house in Stoughton, WI.
